Veterans and military persons will be our focus in November. Students will be learning what a veteran is and what they have done for our country. The learning objective is to introduce patriotism to the students. We will make cards to send to an organization that will send them to deployed service men and women. We will have a Veterans Day breakfast and assembly on November 10.  During October students will have the opportunity to share their Veteran with us by completing an 'America is Free Because We Served' form.  We will make a ‘Wall of Honor’ recognizing our military families with these forms. This Wall of Honor is for retired and active military persons.  Last year we had approximately 134 family members honored on our wall. Students were able to show their patriotism through this activity.
