       RED RIBBON WEEK

JOIN ME, BE DRUG FREE for National Red Ribbon Week.  Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 when drug traffickers murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena.  His belief the 'one person can make a difference' is why we celebrate Red Ribbon week.  Join us in helping our children stay drug free by celebrating National Red Ribbon Week.

Warrior Ridge Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 24-27, 2017. We will show our drug free spirit each day by wearing a red ribbon.  The ribbon is worn to symbolize our commitment to being drug free.  Our daily themes will be:

            MONDAY- NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS

          TUESDAY-RED’Y to Live a Drug Free Life and Wild About Being Drug and Bully Free- Students and staff may wear their WRE, Warrenton Warrior, or a red shirt and have crazy hair to kick off our week long celebration.  We’ve got better things to do than drugs-extra 5 minutes of recess.

          WEDNESDAY-Team Up Against Drugs and WE CAN Say NO to Drugs -Students and staff may wear their favorite team clothing and we will begin collecting our canned goods/nonperishable food items for Operation Back Pack and Agape Ministry.

           THURSDAY-The Drug Force is with Me-Students and staff may wear Star Wars clothing (no masks, light sabers, etc…) Too smart for drugs-students will get smarties.

           FRIDAY-My future is Bright Drug Free-Students and staff may wear college clothing or dress as the future career.  It’s sweet to be drug free—a sweet treat at lunch.
